We, the Association of Austrian Chefs, national section Tirol together with
the World Association of Chefs’ Societies, consisting of 75 member countries and
8 million members and represented by president Gissur Gudmundsson, would like to
thank you.
Gissur Gudmundsson attended the Big Cooking Contest all four days. He refused an
invitation for dinner with the Danish Royal Family in order the come to
Innsbruck and to attend this contest. In no case he regretted his decision and
it was a great pleasure for him to come to Innsbruck and to watch the excellent
performance of the young cooks.
What was presented at the Tirol Catering Fair beside the Big Cooking Contest was
excellent, as far as his opinion is concerned. What he especially liked about
the Innsbruck fair was that the offer was manageable and native so that the
visitors could inform themselves calmly about all the high-quality products.
Quality before quantity!
Gissur Gudmundsson was also impressed by the fair restaurant, which was managed
very well by the Tirol Training School for Tourism in Absam and offered the
young catering trainees the unique possibility to show their skills.
Worldwide he had never experienced something like that before. He would like to
thank you and the fair management cordially for the excellent organization and
at the same time ask you to continue in the same way. A great performance!
We, the national section Tirol, would like to pay the same compliment and at the
same time thank you for your great support. We hope to have the same
opportunities again next year.
Gissur Gudmundsson will present Innsbruck and Tyrol to experts worldwide as a
strong supporter and promoter of catering trainees and at the same time describe
the Big Cooking Contest as a model project. We are the opinion that there could
not be any better publicity for our small and beautiful country.
